AEG reveals lead-acid ESS project in Spain
Electronic systems provider AEG (AEG) working alongside Spanish utility Iberdrola and European research foundation Tecnalia, has delivered a lead-acid battery energy storage system (ESS) located at Iberdrola’s substation in Vitoria, Spain.
The grid-connected system designed for peak shaving times. The ESS is designed to have an energy capacity of 0.6MWh and allow the utility to monitor the grid load as well as to integrate the locally generated wind power.
