News image:
Spanish electric utility provider Endesa has commissioned Spain’s first grid-connected energy storage systems on three of the Canary Islands, off the western coast of Morocco.
Each of the three sites will utilise different methods of storing energy. The facility of the island of Gran Canaria will have 1MW/3MWh lithium-ion batteries that will be used as a power source, as well as for voltage regulation and demand management services.
